Experience has shown that greater restaurant density in a region can increase name awareness, buying power and
advertising. While Franchise World Headquarters, LLC ("FWH") believes this principle can create a stronger market
area, you can be assured that FWH is committed to its existing franchise owners and their individual success.
Therefore, a site review process has been developed whereby franchise owners may voice their opinions, regarding new
development, through the Site Development and Approvals Team at FWH. In some cases, the nature of a location may
cause the company to consider it a "captive audience" location. Such locations include hospitals, airports, some
universities and others; they usually do not have visibility or direct access from the outside. Therefore, captive audience
locations may be considered to have a separate exclusive customer base, even if they are nearby an existing location.
Please be sure that your restaurant is striving to achieve excellent standards as we continue to look ahead to developing
our brand within the area. It is imperative that the SUBWAY® brand remains top of mind with our customers and that
together we continue to impress our customers in every possible way. It is critical to the integrity of the SUBWAY®
system that its restaurants follow the guidelines and great direction contained in the Operations Manual. When
restaurants operate within these proven guidelines, we increase our strength and market penetration. Together, all
franchisees can increase customer satisfaction and gain new customers every day!!
If we have not received contrary instructions from you by the deadline noted above, we will assume you do not wish to
proceed with a site review. If you have signed a Planned Development Rider in regards to the proposed development
then the provisions of the rider will govern.

At this time, we are actively reviewing this location for a new restaurant site. If you have questions regarding
development of SUBWAY® restaurants in your area, please contact your Development Agent who can give you
additional information. Please note that it is your responsibility to notify any prospective buyers of your restaurant
about the proposed location.
In keeping with our practice of notifying nearby franchise owners of development plans, I am writing to let you know

During the notification process, we ask that you review the standards that promote Operational Excellence throughout
the SUBWAY® brand as a whole and within your own restaurant. Some of the proven methods of achieving
Operational Excellence are through solid operations. Please review your standards with regard to great customer
service, clean restaurants, proper formulas and product preparation, clear advertising message and employee training
and retention.
